LISTEN TO THE INTERVIEW HERE: http://forthegoodofillinois.org/wp-content/uploads/ADAM-A-INTERVIEW-TUE-1-8-13.mp3
During the evening drive, Adam Andrzejewski CEO of For The Good of Illinois talks about the lawsuit, For The Good of Illinois v State of Illinois, Comptroller Judy Baar Topinka. On behalf of all citizens, For The Good of Illinois seeks a judgement to compel the Illinois Comptroller to produce one year of the electronic record of payments- the state checkbook.
Earlier in the day, at a Capitol press conference in Springfield, For The Good of Illinois publically discussed the details of their suit. Nine months ago, the state checkbook request was made of the Comptroller and eight months ago the Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan was asked for help. Five months ago, phone calls and emails stopped being returned.
The host- Tara Nickerson- is a very good interviewer and the program covers the entire purpose of the lawsuit. Sadly, line-by-line state spending details should have been released without resort to legal action.
